Old world building meets great downtown location, solid place for short-term stay and great bang for your buck

The photos of the outside of the building do not do it justice. Yes it's an older building, but it has amazing character. I grew up in New York City and staying here reminds me of the building we used to live in. DMV Investments has done an amazing job with the units. They're wonderfully decorated and they've thought of everything in the kitchen. A lot of towels are provided! But in addition to the individual units, they have also decorated the hallways and entryway to the main floor of the units. It's beautifully decorated, has a seating spot in the lobby in front of a faux fire place with comfortable chairs. I am here alone and felt safe and comfortable the entire time. In fact, I loved it so much I booked an additional month stay (I'm here for work). Others staying here are really quiet, some medical and business professionals.

The area looks a bit industrial, but don't be fooled by it. Look and explore carefully. Within walking distance are a variety of restaurants (in a few directions, not just up/down West Yakima Avenue), antique shops, farmers market (which will end for the season fairly soon), bars, etc... The area seems to be revitalizing and repurposing older buildings. The outside of some places do not do the inside justice, so just be adventurous and try things out. Anto Lin Cellars on Front Street (walking distance) is a wine tasting room, great atmosphere. They host local musicians and paint-nights (paint nights are twice a week)!
You have to try their wine smoothies!! Safeway supermarket is also in walking distance, 3-4 blocks. And if you like steak, the Yakima Steak Company is literally right across the street and is fantastic!!

Overall this Bridmar Apartments is the place to stay!
